New Future Holdings
For the Singapore office of tech company New Future, Aarticle devised a dynamic workspace influenced by Shanghai’s historic Yuyuan Garden. The national monument was built during the Ming Dynasty, and is an exemplar of classical Chinese gardens, with its poetic blend of nature and architecture creating tranquil landscapes and vistas.
Aarticle aimed to replicate the garden’s essence in the Millenia Tower office, with the intention of inspiring creativity and collaboration among the firm’s more than 100 employees.

Spatial Transitions Inspired by Yuyuan Garden
The brief called for an open-plan layout to facilitate teamwork, as well as distinct areas for client receptions and private meetings. To address these considerations, Aarticle looked to Yuyuan Garden’s varied pathways and perspectives to design an office that emphasises spatial transitions.
Designing Flow and Function
Visitors to the office navigate along custom granite walkways that guide them to different functional areas, reminiscent of the garden's winding paths.
Key design elements include metal screens, contrasting marble flooring, and a striking saltwater fish tank, which serves as a modern interpretation of traditional water features found in classical gardens.
Additionally, bespoke hexagonal desks echo the architectural forms of pagodas and pavilions.

Curated Furnishings for a Productive Workspace
Against this backdrop, contemporary European furnishings were introduced to create an elegant yet modern atmosphere.
Collaborating with local retailers like Danish Design Co and Space Furniture, Aarticle curated a selection of comfortable and stylish furniture, ensuring a visually appealing workspace that is simultaneously conducive to productivity.
